Back to naming the Best Men’s Hairstylist – Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. My previous hair stylist moved to another city. Over an hour away. I loved her ! People lined up to see her. She was excellent.   As much as I loved her, working as Realtor in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley I could not afford to, not be in the Paradise Valley should a client need me post haste. So as my friend jokingly says of me ” I poll the universe ” I asked everyone I knew who was a great hair stylist?  Two wonderful women and a male colleague told me the best hair stylist in Scottsdale was Paul at Liquid Scissors in Scottsdale.

This is one of Phoenix’s -Scottsdale TOP FIVE Breakfast spots and Ranked as TOP 51 in America! Even so…I am going to get into a little trouble here because it is not chic and it’s not even super close to homes for sale in Paradise Valley… but Original Breakfast House is Best Breakfast near Paradise Valley.  It is fantastically YUMMY !  and it’s just rough enough around the edges that it’s worth the extra few minutes to get there, to really appreciate your luxury Paradise Valley home.

Chelseas Kitchen AZ

One of everyone’s favorite fun restaurants with modern, charm , style and delish food – bordering Arcadia, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. One of my favorite times to visit Chelsea’s Kitchen Az is open on Sunday. They have a Sunday Brunch on the patio that is absolutely delicious! And for dinner, they feature Rotisserie chicken and grilled meats and fish that are out this world good! Enjoy.

A party is only as good as the host and of course the guest. And therein lies the secret to Chelsea’s Kitchen AZ, La Grande Orange, Buck and Rider and select number of other iconic restaurants are owned by Bob Lynn and his wife Sara. Besides the excellent food the warm atmosphere of Chelsea Kitchen, Bob and Sara have created a delicious destination for those living in Arcadia, Paradise Valley  and Scottsdale to enjoy…In fact, they have created restaurants of such warmth and quality that people looking to move to these neighborhoods will actually cite, the fact that these, not just ‘restaurants’ but ‘neighborhood gathering places’ are there as part of the reason for moving to the neighborhood. Friends meet for lunch, children laugh and gobble down delicious treats from the in-house bakery.

And true confession.. I am also partial to Bob and Sara because when I first met them at my Open House in Paradise Valley, I found out, they – like myself; have a true love for mid-century modern Architecture.. .and at the time, they had a beautifully restored Al Beadle mid century Modern Home. However, more than that. They were kind, warm hearted and generous of spirit. And, I have to imagine, that is why, if you go into any of their restaurants.  You will feel the same from all the staff, including the cooks; who have gone out of there way to make my visits even more special.  There is an expression that says,  ‘An entire company is a reflection of those at the top’. I see this time and time again. Good people attract the same. If you’re looking for a healthy place with great yoga and spin classes not far from your Paradise Valley home, you need to check out The Madison Improvement Club.  You’ll be able to indulge in a light healthy breakfast that includes juices. You’ll also find salads on the menu, all freshly made with a nice homemade taste.

Very, very casual. Everyone here is very friendly, usually coming to or heading from their Paradise Valley home to a workout. If you didn’t feel motivated to work out walking in, you will before you leave. Lots of healthy folks here!

The Madison Improvement Club is on the NE corner of 38th St and Indian School. The club is in an old building that has been restored, including the 1917 cornerstone, an old glass alcohol flask, and the original oak wood floor. You’ve got to check it out! Green decisions influenced the renovations. For example, a stabilized granite parking lot was installed along with low flow toilets and low voltage lighting. The club also has a recycling program.  Keep in mind, these are all things you can do in your Paradise Valley home to be more energy-efficient.

Here are some of the things you find on the menu.

Squashgetti ($10) – an oven-roasted spaghetti squash served with house made marinara sauce and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano.

Foody’s Palette ($10) – an assortment of cheeses and meats with crackers and other fun stuff.
